Model Predictive Controlled Four-Bus System Employing Hybrid Power Flow Controller

A fuzzy logic- (FL-) based control technique for unified power flow controller (UPFC) to resolve the quality issues in transmission network is presented this paper. MATLAB/Simulink used design FL-based controllers shunt and series converters of UPFC, which validated on 4-bus system. In addition, performance suggested UPFC compared with PI (proportional integral), HC (hysteresis controller), MPC (model predictive FLC (fuzzy logic outcomes are terms settling time steady-state error. The consequences characterize that higher enactment closed loop hybrid (HPFC) system controller’s (FL based) robustness ensured from simulation results as it has overcome like reactive compensation, voltage sag mitigation, THD reduction line current below 5% per IEEE standard. Settling CL FBS abridged 0.87 0.62 sec, error 0.9 0.1 V using FLC.
